About the Role

The Transport Network Engineer at Zain Kuwait is responsible for the day‑to‑day implementation, monitoring, and maintenance of the carrier's transport network infrastructure, ensuring reliable connectivity for mobile, fixed‑line, and B2B services. This role involves integrating diverse systems, managing equipment such as RON, GPON, and DWDM platforms, and coordinating with cross‑functional teams to achieve seamless service delivery. The engineer also upholds the organization's information security, environmental, and occupational health and safety standards while continuously optimizing network performance and capacity.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and test transport network equipment, including RON, GPON, and DWDM systems, to meet performance specifications.

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities, ensuring optimal uptime and minimizing service disruptions.

• Monitor network alarms, analyze logs, and respond promptly to incidents, coordinating with the support team for rapid resolution.
\n
• Maintain accurate records of network inventory, configurations, and updates in the central management system for audit and planning purposes.
\n
• Assist senior specialists and professionals in troubleshooting escalated issues, applying deep technical knowledge and best practices.

• Ensure compliance with the Information Security Management System (ISMS) policies, reporting any security breaches or incidents to the supervisor immediately.

• Adhere to all environmental and occupational health and safety requirements set by Kuwaiti statutory bodies and Zain Group's OH&S management system.

Required Qualifications
