About the Role
This role involves performing surface well testing operations at an offshore facility in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. The Senior Well Test Operator will be responsible for deploying, operating, and maintaining well testing equipment while ensuring strict adherence to safety and environmental standards. The ideal candidate holds valid H2S certification and has extensive hands-on experience in offshore well testing environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform surface well testing operations including flow testing, pressure measurements, and fluid sampling on offshore wells
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain well testing equipment such as separators, chokes, and data acquisition systems
- Monitor well performance data in real time and accurately report findings to the operations and engineering teams
- Ensure full compliance with HSE policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements at all times
- Coordinate closely with the offshore drilling, production, and maintenance teams to support testing schedules
- Conduct pre-job risk assessments, toolbox talks, and ensure all permits are in place before operations begin
- Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform minor repairs to minimize downtime during testing campaigns
Required Qualifications
- Valid H2S certification is mandatory
- Minimum 5 years of experience in surface well testing operations, preferably in an offshore setting
- Proven ability to operate well testing equipment including portable and trailer-mounted units
- Strong understanding of well control principles, pressure testing, and fluid handling procedures
- Valid offshore survival, fire-fighting, and medical fitness certificates
- Ability to work rotational offshore shifts in a demanding environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams
