Senior Director of Power Systems Engineering - Kuwait City

About the Role

ETS Electric Group Kuwait is seeking an experienced Senior Director of Power Systems Engineering to lead our electrical infrastructure division. This strategic leadership position requires a visionary engineer who can drive technical excellence while managing a high-performing team of professionals in the power sector. The role involves overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of large-scale electrical distribution and transmission systems across Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the power systems engineering team, providing technical mentorship and career progression guidance
• Oversee the design and implementation of major electrical infrastructure projects from concept to completion
• Ensure all engineering work complies with Kuwait electrical codes, IEC standards, and international best practices
• Review and approve technical specifications, calculations, and engineering documentation
• Coordinate effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities
• Drive innovation and efficiency improvements in power distribution and transmission systems
• Provide strategic technical guidance on complex engineering challenges and capital investments

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's degree preferred
• Minimum 15 years of progressive experience in power systems engineering
• Proven senior leadership experience in the electrical utility or infrastructure sector
• In-depth knowledge of IEC, IEEE, and Gulf regional electrical standards
• Experience delivering large-scale power projects in the Middle East or Gulf region
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent communication skills
• Professional engineering registration or equivalent international certification
