About the Role
This position involves providing immediate medical care and managing medical supplies on the rig in Al Ahmadi, Kuwait. The role requires a Registered Nurse license and current certifications in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support to ensure the health and safety of all personnel. The successful candidate will work in a demanding offshore environment, responding to medical emergencies, providing ongoing health support to the rig crew, and ensuring that all medical protocols are followed. This is a critical role that contributes to the overall safety and well-being of the team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assessing and treating injuries and medical emergencies on the rig promptly and effectively to minimize risk and ensure timely care.
- Maintaining and managing medical supplies, equipment, and inventory to ensure availability and readiness at all times.
- Documenting patient care, medical records, incident reports, and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner.
- Coordinating with offshore medical teams, health and safety personnel, and external medical providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, protocols, company policies, and industry standards.
- Providing health education, preventive care advice, wellness programs, and mental health support to rig staff.
- Participating in emergency drills, risk assessments, and maintaining a high level of readiness for all types of medical situations.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license with current and valid certification in good standing, as required by local regulations.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications are mandatory and must be up to date.
- Previous experience in industrial, offshore, emergency medical, or similar high-pressure environments is strongly preferred.
- Able to work in remote or isolated environments with limited medical resources, equipment, and external support.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills to handle diverse situations and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Physical fitness and the ability to respond to emergencies quickly, including lifting, moving, and stabilizing patients.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations applicable to the oil and gas or offshore industry, and familiarity with rig operations.
