Procurement Officer in Kuwait

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Officer to manage end-to-end procurement and logistics activities for materials, supplies, and services. The successful candidate will ensure all procurement activities align with company policies and project requirements while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance. This role involves coordinating with suppliers and internal teams to support successful project delivery across Kuwait.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage full procurement cycle including sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and purchase order creation
• Select and evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery performance, and regulatory compliance
• Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and favorable terms with vendors and service providers
• Monitor order status, track deliveries, and resolve shortages or quality issues promptly
• Coordinate logistics, transportation, and timely delivery of materials to project sites
• Handle import/export documentation and ensure customs compliance for international shipments
• Maintain supplier performance records and foster strong vendor relationships

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Logistics, or related field
• 3-5 years of procurement experience, preferably in power plant or large-scale project environments
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management
• Experience with import/export procedures and customs documentation requirements
• Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional project teams
