About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Hygiene and Health Specialist to join a reputable organization in the oil and gas sector in Kuwait. This position is responsible for conducting risk assessments, leading environmental investigations, and managing occupational health programs across the facility. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in occupational hygiene and a solid track record of ensuring compliance with local and international health regulations in a demanding industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify and mitigate occupational hazards across oil and gas operations.
- Lead environmental investigations and recommend corrective actions to protect worker health and site safety.
- Design, implement, and manage occupational health programs tailored to the needs of the workforce.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with Kuwaiti health regulations and relevant international standards such as OSHA and ILO guidelines.
- Collaborate with engineering, operations, and safety teams to integrate health considerations into project planning and execution.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation for regulatory audits and internal health reviews.
- Provide training and technical guidance to site personnel on hygiene best practices and emergency health protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in occupational hygiene within the oil and gas or heavy industrial sector.
- Strong working knowledge of local Kuwaiti health and safety regulations and international compliance frameworks.
- Proficiency in risk assessment methodologies, environmental monitoring techniques, and data analysis tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language ability is an advantage.
- Certification in industrial hygiene or a related health and safety credential is preferred.
