About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in Al Kuwait. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the preparation and maintenance of accurate financial statements, ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards to provide stakeholders with reliable financial information
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes, coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making
- Conduct detailed financial analyses and variance reports to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings, enabling the organization to operate more efficiently
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure the integrity of financial reporting, mitigating risks associated with financial misstatements
- Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations, providing guidance on tax planning strategies to optimize the company's tax position
- Collaborate with external auditors during audits, providing necessary documentation and addressing any issues to ensure a smooth audit process
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field from a recognized institution
- Professional accounting certification (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is highly preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in financial reporting and analysis
- Strong knowledge of local Kuwaiti accounting standards and international financial reporting standards
- Proficiency in accounting software and financial systems, with experience in ERP platforms
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with attention to detail
- Leadership experience with demonstrated ability to mentor and develop junior staff
