About the Role
The Officer, Collections Payment Support will join Gulf Bank's operations team in Kuwait, focusing on efficient processing of customer payments and collections. This role ensures that all transactions are recorded accurately, disputes are resolved promptly, and regulatory standards are upheld.
Key Responsibilities
- Process inbound and outbound payments, verifying details against client accounts.
- Monitor overdue accounts, initiate collection actions, and maintain detailed logs.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, liaising with customers and internal departments.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reconciliation reports for management review.
- Support compliance initiatives by adhering to AML, KYC and local banking regulations.
- Assist in the development and improvement of collection workflows and automation tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in collections, payment processing or treasury operations within a banking environment.
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with banking software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is advantageous.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and handle confidential information responsibly.
