About the Role
We are seeking a focused Butcher to join the butchery section of a well-established supermarket in Farwaniya, Kuwait. You will cut, trim, portion, and prepare fresh meat to exacting standards while supporting daily displays and customer service. This role requires accuracy, speed, and a commitment to hygiene in a busy retail environment. You will help maintain quality and consistency that keeps shoppers returning.
Key Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and portion beef, lamb, poultry, and other proteins to specification.
- Prepare and arrange attractive displays while rotating stock for freshness.
- Maintain strict hygiene, sanitation, and cold-chain standards at all times.
- Operate band saws, grinders, and slicers safely and perform routine checks.
- Assist customers with selection, cooking advice, and special cuts when requested.
- Track inventory, manage trim and waste, and support ordering processes.
- Collaborate with store teams to align production with promotions and peak hours.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Butcher or in a retail meat department.
- Strong knowledge of meat cuts, quality indicators, and storage best practices.
- Ability to use knives and equipment safely with speed and precision.
- Commitment to hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards.
- Physical stamina for lifting, standing, and working in chilled environments.
- Customer-oriented attitude and clear communication skills.
- Eligible for 18-transferable visa and available to work in Farwaniya.
